Google has successfully eliminated the game console.
As Sony and Microsoft throw billions of dollars into cutting edge hardware to power a new generation of games, Google just soft launched their first game console on a web page. Let that marinate in your brain for a minute as you think about the potential cost associated with developing, manufacturing and distributing the new PS5 and XBOX Series X. (continued)

Marvel’s Avengers will upgrade to PS5 for free
Crystal Dynamics wants gamers to know that if they’re excited about Marvel’s Avengers, they can buy it for PS4 and get the PS5 version for free. The game is using a proprietary game engine called “FOUNDATION” and they’ve been pushing it to the limits to see what they can do on next-gen hardware. Fake it, till you make it.
I guess you could say I started out as a PC gamer. My TRS-80 was an iMac like desktop computer with an Z80, 8-bit processor. I would spend hours typing in the code from various magazines to create a lunar lander or some other simple animation or game. If you really wanted to play something fun, you needed a cassette or floppy disk. The cassettes would create a screeching sound that would remind you of an old 56k modem and you could find them usually at Radio Shack.
