EA PLAY LIVE 2020

As a global pandemic continues to grip the planet, the videogame industry is getting ready to unleash the most powerful gaming consoles in history. Microsoft and Sony have both set their target launch date for this Fall. Having a powerful machine is important, but as history has shown us, it’s all about the games.

EA took the virtual center stage last week as they revealed several new titles in development for current and future games for all platforms including the PC. They also reassured gamers that if they buy an upcoming EA game for current generation consoles, they’ll be able to upgrade these games at no additional charge for PS5 and XBOX Series X when they debut.

In the past, EA has required gamers to buy “next-gen” versions of Madden even if they already owned a current gen copy. This change is a great way to jump into this years new releases without having to buy them twice. Let’s hope more publishers take this stance.
