allgames.com V10?

December 1995 - NYC, NY

Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the allgames.com website

I’m not sure what version of this website we are really on, but I don’t think it matters at this point. In 1995 I registered this domain so I could collect any scrap of gaming information I could find. The idea was to call up these game publishers and ask for phone interviews with the developers. Then I would encode them using real audio 1.0 and upload them to my ftp server over a 56k modem.

It was a wild time because I knew that whatever cool trick I learned in Net Guide magazine, was the absolute cutting edge of web technology. There wasn’t anything that Warner Brothers or Disney could do on their web page that I couldn’t do myself.

Over the years, the technology evolved. At one point, we built our entire site with something called Cold Fusion. It was similar to object oriented programming. At Pseudo Programs, we had a development team with a lot of very talented people. They were building a real time video publishing platform called D.A.I.S.Y. It was to be the golden ticket for Pseudo’s investors as it would become the patented technology for live interactive video stream publishing.

It didn’t, they didn’t and nobody at Pseudo got rich off that technology.

Fast forward to the present era and All Games Network was running on a Joomla site coded by the talented coder and talk show host DerrickH. If you watch enough archive shows from All Games Network, you’ll hear the name DerrickH mentioned quite a bit. You’ll always find him in the chat room, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t out living his best most exciting life as well. Derrick is host of Dead Pixel Live which broadcasts at the unique time slot of, whenever he feels like it. Find it here.

Now, it’s 2020. There is a pandemic. I’ve been using Squarespace for my NITROPOD website for the past few years and really like it. It gives me just enough control to do what I want, without forcing me to learn complex coding elements. Of course I have gotten stuck a lot. It’s not THAt easy. Thank you to community veterans Burr (another name you’ll hear on those early archives), and Knuxsonic who was responsible for creating the G4Rewind Blocks on G4tv and the internet. Without their help, this would still be a broken and worthless website. The SSL Certificate is currently pending, we should be cleared as a safe zone for you very shortly.

So join the mailing list! I’ll send updates once in a while. Subscribe to the YouTube channel and the Twitch channel as they won’t allow us to monetize the videos without a boatload of subscribers. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook if you’re already there, it would be nice to see you there. If you’d rather help out with a donation, it will go along way to helping me get things edited and uploaded. Feel free to request specific shows, episodes, guests or games. I’ll do my best to accommodate.

You can also join the forums and reminisce about the old days/games/news it’s been a lot of fun traveling through this video game time machine with my wife and kids. I hope you enjoy it too.
