With PAX now one week behind us we chat about what we saw after we recorded last weeks show at PAX. We also bemoan the loss of Jeff Green to EA and chat about the games we have been playing over the past week. The Drunken Gamer says his piece on Castle Crashers after which the gaming news is discussed. All rounded up with listener mail this one is definately a keeper. We really mean it this time.
Kropotkin and Hendrix are joined by The Jaded and Drunken Gamer as well as Digital Firefly for the PAX 2008 special edition of the Superhappyfuntimeshow. Recorded in the temporary relocation of the SHFTS Towers AKA a hotel room there is a significant amount of echo. There are also some potty mouth people hence the explicit tag on the show! We discuss what we saw and played on the show floor as well as who we met. Not wanting to dissappoint our listeners we even read out their mail.
With the last show before residents of Superhappyfuntimeshow towers packs up and heads off to PAX Kropotkin and Hendrix have much to discuss this week. Games that fall under the spotlight are Warhammer Online and Too Human as well as Braid and Galaga Legions. The Jaded Gamer covers the Fable 2 pub games, even if he is a little late this week. In the news we expand on the Denis Dyack back lash from Neogaf and the fact that Bejeweled is the most successful game this century. All of this plus listener mail and details of our PAX coverage, you will not want to miss this fun filled episode.
Hendrix takes a great deal of joy revelling in his higher score in Geometry Wars 2 over Kropotkin. Meanwhile Kropotkin talks about the Warhammer Beta he cannot discuss. Drunken Gamer outdoes hiself again with a superb review which is then followed up by news and listener emails. This ones a keeper.
A slightly shorter show this week due mainly the drought of emails we have from our beloved listeners, oh the travesty of it all. Nevertheless Hendrix and Kropotkin do their best to keep you all entertained with tales of tales of their experiences with Braid, Burnout Paradise and Battlefield Bad Company. We also have the Jaded Gamer talk up SoulCalibur IV and cover the rather sparse gaming news from an industry that appears to be asleep right now. We finish off with our singular email and explain further on the chance to win an AGR prize token by competing in the SoulCalibur IV tournament we are organising. Please do listen, you will be better off as a person if you do. Oh yes you will. Indeedy.
