So things happen in the course of a few months.  Rock of the Dead, the mash-up of Guitar Hero and Typing of the Dead, is now only coming out on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  Sorry Wii owners (side note, when it was first announced it was going to a Wii only game).

Along with the news of the Wii being dropped is the news of some iSpin-offs already in the pipeline.  The iPad will get Rock of the Dead: Zombie Pong, a two player pong game, and the iPhone/Touch gets Rock of the Dead: Whack-a-Zombie, whack-a-mole style game, and Rock of the Dead: Zombie Survival, an smaller version of the console game.

Lastly they have released two new trailers showing more gameplay and more than just zombies to fight, alien robots anyone?

[UPDATE] - Joystiq contacted the game's publishers UFO Interactive and have gotten more details on the Wii version.  It's not dead, just on the back-burner.
