While the city of New Orleans continues to party in the wake of a memorable Superbowl victory, sports fans across the country are starting to ask the same thing. When do pitchers and catchers report? That's because it's the first major milestone of the upcoming baseball season (Feb 23rd) and it means baseball videogames will drop a week or so later. This year, we may actually have some competition to talk about since 2K Sports appears to be genuinely interested in delivering us a simulation of America's pastime, instead of the arcade like disaster that was MLB2K9. I'm happy to deliver a new video that outlines some of the new elements added to both pitching and hitting via the analog sticks. I've bee a huge fan of both the swing stick and the stick pitching that 2K introduced a few years back, but frustrated over it's lack of evolution over the years. The video outlines the ability to fight off pitches with a side swipe to go along with the power and contact hits we had before. The game will ship March 2nd for just about every platform. Oh and don't forget about that million dollar perfect game contest they're having, I suspect we'll see some pretty hardcore gamers attempt to be the first to pitch a perfect game for all that cash.
