Mom's Minute Video Game Show Monday's Snippet Preview

Hello Everybody!

Mom's Minute live Video Game Show moves to Monday's at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time beginning March 25, 2013 due to scheduling overlaps. Previously Mom's Minute Video Game show aired live on Tuesday's.

Here's what you can expect from our first show airing live in the new Monday time slot.  Lots of interesting video game topics will be discussed including two video games I played.  Find out which video game gave the Xbox 360  "Happy Wars" game that I reviewed last week  a run for its money.  In fact, I can use "money" as a clue for the name of the video game that you may enjoy playing -- just as much as I did.  I will also be reviewing Gears of War: Judgment on the Xbox 360, and let you know how and if this game can, in my opinion, compete in any way, shape or form against Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Additionally, find out about the  innovative type video game system for retro games that I played during my video game field trip to Area 51 Arcade & Family Fun Center.  I'll fill you in on how this arcade ties in with my previous video game trip to American Indoor Karting.

You will find out more about the character Master Chief from Halo -- who tied with Ezio from Assassin's Creed and Lee Everett from The Walking Dead as video game characters of the week.  Also new video game releases will be discussed as well as the latest hot topics in video game news, and I'll share a special saying I created just for you.

Thanks for listening.  I'll see you Monday, March 25, 2013, 9:00 p.m. EST, 6:00 p.m. PST at

Happy Gaming! -- RealMsH

Xseed to Bring Japanese Video Games to U.S. in 2013

Graphic from Xseed Games Ys: Memories of Celceta

Xseed Games has announced that it will bring to the U.S. at least six video games that are currently available in Japan.  After hinting via Twitter and giving out sketchy clues, the publisher has confirmed that the U.S. will  receive six new video games in 2013 from the company.  Xseed Games is an independent publisher formed in 2004 and is composed of a small group of industry professionals with the goal of "cross-pollinating" Japanese video games to North America. The company is 100% owned by Tokyo based MarvelousAQL, Inc which is listed on the Tokyo stock exchange.

Since Xseed Games named the specific games that will be brought to the U.S. in 2013, a  logical conclusion can be reached that the promise of these Japanese video games are more fact than fiction.

In other words, these games will actually come to the U.S. and will be playable across gaming systems such as the Xbox 360, Playstion 3, Nintendo, and the PC.

Here are the games the U.S. can expect to receive from Xseed Games some time in 2013.

Killer is Dead

Killer is Dead -- This game is a brand new action title which will be playable on the Xbox 360 and the PS3.  The gameplay involves controlling the character whose main mission is to destroy  heinous criminals located around the world and beyond. The setting of the video game is the far distant future.

Rune Factory 4

Rune Factory 4 -- This is an RPG video game coming to the Nintendo 3DS in the summer of 2013.  As a role playing game, you, as the video game player, will become Selphia's Prince or Princess with the main goals of managing the village, exploring the countryside with the local townfolks, and taming monsters in the wild to help out in battle or to assist in the fields.

Valhalla Knights 3

Vahalla Knights 3 -- Coming to the PS Vita in the fall of 2013, this game is the fourth title in a popular RPG action series. This game has a robust character creation system and brings seven on seven party based combat to the PS Vita.

Ys: Memories of Celceta -- pictured above as the accomplished warrior in the lead-in graphic -- will be coming to the PS Vita during the fall of 2013. You can expect more enemies than you have ever seen in these type games as well as the largest, most non-linear overworld in Y's history.

Y1 and 2 Chronicles

Y1 and 2 Chronicles --  Developed for the PC, these video games are remakes of the classic, original first two games in the Y's franchise.  These games will be available on Steam for the very first time.

Ken Berry, the Executive Vice President of Xseed Games states: “This will be an amazing year for us. Our portfolio continues to expand and it’s evident by this stellar lineup of titles, so we’re excited to share more details and hear what our fans are most looking forward to playing ...”

The good news is you will be able to enjoy video games that you may have admired from afar.  The bad news is no specific dates were provided for the actual release of these video games in 2013.  Hopefully these games will not slide into obvion, but become a reality available for you to play and enjoy in the U.S. --  just as they are currently being played and enjoyed in Japan.
