I loved about 3/4ths of this movie. The last hour or so, aside from the driving part, was a yawn fest. You're just watching people sit around and talk for the most part. The rest of the movie was good enough that I'd pay to go see it again.

They make the same crap though. Grindehouse proves that. I mean theres no plot to it at all, but people blowing shit up and topless girls. And while I normally don't mind that, I can't stand his movies. Hes made what, like 6? Hes not some big great award winning director. Besides, him and Boll make the same types of movies, gorefests with no plot.
This coming from the guy who has obviously only seen one Tarantino movie.

I thought it was awesome. Loved every bit of it. Especially Rayo being the main character in Planet Terror.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen any.

You know, I thought that too :smt070But anyway, Planet Terror was fuckin' great. Random/bad cuts, shit dialog, it was so funny. Death proof on the other hand.... Everytime two or more people would start to talk I thought "Great, another half hour conversation". Good fucking god there was so much dialog, and most of it would turn out to be useless in the end anyway. The car chase in the end was really nice and funny, but suffering through the dialog though... meh.Overall, it's great and worth seeing again, but Planet Terror > Death Proof:cool:

Most of Death Proof might as well have been an episode of Sex and the City. Still, the car chase scene at the end was pretty awesome.I enjoyed the fake trailers a little better than Death Proof. Thanksgiving and Machete needs to be made into real movies.

I'm glad I saw it at Grauman's. The experience was so massive, everyone was yelling, hollering, and screaming the entire time. Thinking about it, Planet Terror fucking owned over Death Proof. I expected both to be like PT and was disappointed when they weren't. PT was god damn hilarious. The last shot of Thanksgiving is going to haunt my dreams for a long, long time. I was VERY disappointed that there was no Hobo With A Shotgun. It deserved to be in there.Overall an INCREDIBLE experience. If you didn't see it tonight, you'll never get the same feeling.

"If... you... were... thinking... about... opening... that... door... DON'T!"Ok, so some of my favorite parts without revealing too much:Tarantino's ballsFu ManchuThanksgivingRussell whining and cryingWe had a pretty good crowd at the theater last night. No one, thankfully, was being overly dramatic in response to certain parts but when it called for it, the audience all responded in much the same way.Definitely going to have to agree that Planet Terror > Deathproof.

Now that sounds like a Tarantino, bunch of useless dialog then 5 minutes of action!

Did anyone happen to catch the entire phone number on Julia's cell phone before she sent that text? It looked like a real number but it went by so fast. And everyone was rolling with laughter at Fu Manchu. Death Proof's real name was ThunderBolt, right?
