I tried the Nook Color, and it was really slow, unresponsive, and heavier than I thought it would be.

I have a Nook that I got for Christmas. I like it overall. My only gripe is the tediousness of trudging through the interface to load a book. Once you get it loaded, it's fine, but using the small touchscreen to get there is a chore. I do like the open format of it though and I've been able to load everything onto it rather easily - from Library Books to PDFs in seconds. I have no interest in the color version. I look at enough computers all day. I don't need my eyes falling out.I only tried the Kindle once and I wasn't a huge fan. I've also tried other E-Readers and they were on par with the Nook. Like someone else, it all comes down to preference.
