i actually think though that the punisher is a perfect representation of america. first he kills off the old moral, righteous cap am, then he brings in a brutal nasty bringer of pain. it says a lot about imperialism.
He didn't kill Cap. >_>Red Skull's assassin did. So basically the Nazis killed America.

We know Crossbones shot him for sure.Either Agent 13 did shot him or she hypnotized into thinking she shot him.If I remember right, in an interview, it stated that she did shot him due to hypnosis planted in her from her theropy sessions.
