Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the King's horses,And all the King's men,...made Humpty happy again?WTF?!?BBC DEFENDS HUMPTY DUMPTY DECISION
The broadcaster said the change was made purely for creative reasons rather than trying to give a soft version of the rhyme for children. A spokeswoman said: "We play nursery rhymes with their original lyrics all the time and the small change to Humpty Dumpty was done for no other reason than being creative and entertaining." Labour MP Tom Harris told the Independent on Sunday: "For goodness sake. Obviously children will find it far too violent, distressing and horrific that Humpty should not be put back together again."This is what happens when adults try to make these kinds of judgments."He told the newspaper that he had also seen Little Miss Muffet changed on the channel, so that she made friends with the spider instead of running away.
How dare they toy with a cultural icon! What's next? Hmm..Jack and Jill went up the hillTo fetch a pail of water. Then they went back homeAnd drank the water happily ever afterSeriously it doesn't even make sense..

When I was 4 the playground I went to had this sort of rope-glide thing, and I fell off half way across it and ate wood chips. I almost choked to death, but I'd like to think it made me a man.Seriously, I don't really get this idea that EVERYTHING for children has to be disney-ized. Once these kids get in the real world they'll have no idea what to do.

All of my childhood playgrounds back home have been changed due to "safety" reasons, FUCK THAT. Falling off a playground into a hurtful pile of wood chips is part of life that every kid needs to experience. Same with nursery rhymes and fairy tales (the originals)... what the hell is the point of sheltering them this much?!??!?Back in the summer there was an article in the nytimes about some bitch mom who wanted the ice cream man taken away from nyc parks because she did not want her kid to keep asking for icecream as it is not healthy... for fucks sake lady, don't ruin it for the rest of us.
