At some point my friends and I decided to gather up all the blank floppy disks we had and have an epic battle with them. We essentially whip them at each other like we used to do with playing cards. There was some eyes poked and a big mess after but it was a lot of fun.

I think I only have a few things on floppies in my closet. Nothing spectacular. I remember in 3rd grade they made us guard our floppies for life with all our classwork on them.

Games like monkey island 2 and Beneath a Steel Sky used around 20-30 floppy disks i was so happy when i got a hardrive for the amiga 1200.And now people go mad if a game is on more then one disk.

There's still lots of other floppy manufacturers.Floppies are still used for music synthesizers, manufacturing machines, lab equipment, lighting systems for theaters, etc.

True, but with Sony, the company that really introduced them, pulling out it's kind of the end.
