Im going to building a new computer the only thing im going to be keeping Is my case and my 2 pata hardrivesIm looking for quality but affordable I just want Parts that wont breakSo A GOOD POWER SUPPLY IS A MUSTIm only looking to spend between $200-$300I want to know what cards are better ati 4850 OR THE NVIDA 9800

2-300$? lolwhat are you using the computer for, if only web and email, thats reasonable, but a gaming machine will be a bit more than that, around 500-800 if you build it.

200- 300 FOR web and email that is ridiculous I got under 100 invested in my computer right now and i do web and email just find.

Huh.. what?All cards can do 720p, as defined by outputting a resolution of 1280x720, which is pretty low resolution for a computer monitor..

Why do you care about having a good p/s if you are building a bare bones rig? A good power supply will eat up 1/3 of your budget and serve no purpose in an internet only box.

I read a couple reviews on new egg user reviews btw claiming that this card can't do 720 pWhich is what im looking for so i cant hook my computer via hdmi to lcd tv

Well what happens when you get piece of shit power supply it dies in 6 months months then you got to go out and buy a new oneim looking in $40 $70 range

As long as it has a DVI output it can do HDMI to a TV. Brand shouldn't make a difference.

For $300 you're not going to get a gaming computer, I'll tell you that flat out. It will be able to play games like 02 and earlier, but that's about it.About your brand name resolution problem, if it can support a maximum resolution higher than what you need it for, it supports it.
