Right. If you're getting 60FPS and it occasionally dips to 50 when lots of stuff is going on, you might notice that. But if you're getting 80+ and it dips to 65 or 70 you aren't gonna notice.

I hardly ever notice if 60 dips to 30 fps.

i notice if it goes to 60 to 30, but not like 10 frame differences. oblivion goes from 60 to 30 all the time for whatever reason when I have ANY AA on, and it's painfully noticable.

30 to 60 is easily noticeable, but anything over 60 just looks like turbo and stupid. Look all the way up into the sky in most games (like Call of Juarez or the like) and see how you get higher than 60 FPS I'm sure, and it just goes too fast.

how does peforming more frames than 60 = too fast?fail. guild wars with 250fps, and cod4 with 90fps bitch. :thup:

Como what? Never in my life of PC gaming have I ever experienced this. If I can achieve more than 60 frames in a game then more win for me. And like Ezekiel said; in terms of lock down performance you can notice a difference.
