Significantly better performance actually. Pretty awesome. Far Cry 2, which is fairly new, will now see 38% better performance.

Warning: dont update your nvidia drivers to 180 unless you want l4d to be virtually unplayable. People are reporting constant stuttering when playing l4d with the new drivers. Im also experiencing this.

The only way to fix the issue with l4d without rolling back is to manually set L4D to only use one core of a multi core cpu.

You remind me of the counterstrike kiddies from back in the day who tried so hard to get 100 FPS on the game, even though we can't really determine anything past 60 FPS.Hint for anyone still with a 7 series: don't update your drivers past the 9x.xx series... great performance with the 9x.xx, HORRIBLE with anything 1xx.xx

Most people probably couldn't tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps.

I was being sarcastic, making a point that far cry 2 is nicely optimized that I get great fps without needing an update or whatnot.Im the guy that is happy with 20fps. I cant tell the difference with anything higher than 30 as well.

I can easily notice anything higher than 60fps. All of the talk that we can't notice anything past 60fps is bullshit. It's all about what you're used to. If you play everything 60fps day after day, once you have a monitor and setup that can play a game at 120fps, you WILL notice. Why do you think 120hz tv's are so big these and look so goddamn incredible even though it doesn't change the resolution. Because fluidity is more pleasing to look at than texture detail.Combine both though? And it's orgasm heaven. But seriously, you can notice framerates WELL past 60. 60 is just a sweet point.

It's not so much that you actually notice the higher FPS, just that a higher average means it dips less often into noticeable slowness..
