My PS3 has been acting up quite a bit. I'm getting input lag on the Netflix selection screens and the Playstation store. I have a digital copy of Far Cry 3 and the music cuts in and out. Yesterday I was playing Pac-Man CE DX and the sides of the map wouldn't load properly.

Has anyone had problems like this? Could it be the HDD? Any help I would appreciate.

Never had that but that seems to be the most likely thing. Either losing sectors or its just not reading as fast as it used to.

I was going through some of my saved data and saw a lot of corruption as well. I'm going to be putting an SSD into my Macbook Pro, so I may reformat the HDD and slap it in my PS3... when I get around to it.

It was the HDD. I just swapped my 320 HDD in my Macbook Pro with a 240 SSD (and I added a 750 HDD in the optical drive slot) then I put the 320 HDD into my PS3. I have to say that the upgrade to the PS3 was a lot easier than the one for my MBP 13". Now everything works as good or better than new.
