So EA and Sega have shut down servers. Has Microsoft shutdown any 360 servers yet? I know there was rumblings of Halo 2 (original Xbox) servers being shut down, did that come to pass?

no and no.They should just shut down Halo 2's servers. There has to be like no one playing at this point. I mean, back when Halo 3 first came out there was only about 40,000 people still playing Halo 2.

hey sega, are you reading this?do you remember a game called alien front online? of course you don't because you shut down it's online capabilities within three months of it coming out. why would anyone buy a game with "online" in the title if you can't even play it online past the initial release?isn't this why xbox live exists in the first place? to make sure incompetent companies such as yourself don't screw people out of online multiplayer when you sell it as the main feature of certain games? don't you know your own history as a company well enough to know that any dedicated server you run will be shut down almost instantly?why is this entire post rhetorical?

This does become a problem for games that still have a following but the company doesn't see as "profitable".
