If you break the terms of use, you can bitch all you want but it's not going to do you any good. Simple and plain. If you don't agree with the terms of use, don't buy the product. "Unauthorized copying, reverse engineering, transmission, public performance, rental, pay for play, or circumvention of copy protection is strictly prohibited."Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

People who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar really shouldn't bitch.

This reminds me of those A&W ads."Now that's thick."

Anyone thinking they could just keep a modded 360 hooked up to XBL was seriously kidding themselves.
actually, so long as you kept up to date to the firmware changes, a modded xbox was undetectable.but when there's several hundred thousand people playing mw2 before the release date, well...

well, in any case, it doesn't make much sense to me to terminate dlc and the like that people actually paid for, even if their xbox was modded.even then, i'm sure there were a good number of people who seriously were just backing up the games they owned. it's not like the 360's disc drive isn't notorious for destroying discs or anything...
The money microsoft made from xbl subscriptions/DLC was probably nothing compared to the money that they lost from people just burning games. These people probably wont go to PS3 because piracy is virtually nonexistent on PS3. I doubt they're all going to just start buying games.

This is funny because over the weekend or on Monday a few local radio DJ's were talking about this and how they were just banned for having modded Xbox's. They were on the radio admitting this and having other radio listeners call in if they too were recently banned. I was meant to post about this when I heard it on the radio. The DJ's said that they would just buy a new system because they couldn't go without Xbox Live and Madden/CoD4 for too long and that listening wives/GF's of guys who've been banned shouldn't be too upset if they see some money from their bank accounts are gone to getting a new 360 replacement, lol.Is XboxConnect still going on? Why wouldn't people use that more?

LOL. I'm curious if EBay will track separately "banned" Xboxs so they can trend the going rate.

Hahahahaha, I hope not too many people get screwed unsuspectingly by buying 360s that are banned but aren't noted... MS says you are screwed regardless.

Serves them right. If you're dumb enough to connect a modded Xbox 360 to Xbox Live, you get what you deserve.
